Usher

This active and enthusiastic team helps the conference run smoothly by directing attendees to their seats and assisting with crowd control.

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF: You are able to stand for extended periods of time and enjoy a variety of duties.

TIMES (MANDATORY): Friday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm and Saturday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES: Expect a variety of duties such as directing conference attendees to their seats as well as frequently used locations within the arena, i.e., Will Call, Lost and Found, restrooms, etc. Duties may also include reporting medical emergencies, ensuring crowd control on the concourse and in the arena, and general assistance while the conference is in session. Ushers help by making the overall event run smoothly and with limited distractions.

EVENT ATTENDANCE: Volunteers will receive a complimentary seat for themselves for the Usher position. You will be able to sit down and enjoy the majority of the Grand New Day event when it is in session. Your seat will be located near the area you are stationed as an Usher. For this reason, you should not plan on sitting with a certain group or anyone that volunteers with you.

BOX LUNCH: Provided on Friday and Saturday. A box dinner will be provided Friday evening.

ELIGIBILITY: Must be able to follow directions, be on your feet for an extended period of time, and be at least 18 years of age. Must be physically able to climb stairs if necessary.

Product Sales

This fun and energetic team helps sell the books, music and various resources available at the product tables. Plus, you receive a free t-shirt!

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF: You can follow directions, handle money, use a handheld scanner for transactions, stay on your feet for extended periods of time, and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

TIMES (MANDATORY): Friday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm and Saturday 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES: Help at Resource tables during the “rush” times (before and after the conference, during lunch or other breaks.) Specific jobs are assigned at orientation. Assist in program bag distribution after the pre-conference.

EVENT ATTENDANCE: Volunteers will receive a complimentary seat for themselves for the Product Sales position. They will be able to sit down and enjoy the majority of the Grand New Day event when it is in session.

BOX LUNCH: Provided on Friday and Saturday. A box dinner will be provided Friday evening.

ELIGIBILITY: Must be able to follow directions, handle money, and be on your feet for a period of time, and be at least 18 years of age. Must be physically able to climb stairs and do minimal lifting.

Arena Team A

Volunteer during the entire conference
so that others can attend free.

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF: You do NOT plan on being an attendee at the event, willing to follow directions, handle light lifting of 25-30 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time and enjoy a variety of duties.

TIMES (MANDATORY): Friday 8:00 am - 10:00 pm and Saturday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES: Expect a variety of duties such as directing conference attendees and ensuring crowd control on the concourse and in the arena, box lunch distribution, helping with registration, and general assistance while the conference is in session. Arena Team helps by making the overall event run smoothly and with limited distractions. Additional security help from the Arena Team volunteers will be chosen to help check credentials and work with our security team on various duties.

EVENT ATTENDANCE: Due to the demands of this position, Arena Team volunteers will only get to watch up to 25% of the conference. If you plan on watching the entire conference, please consider a different volunteer role. Arena Team volunteers will receive 2 free registrations for the Grand New Day conference for guests of their choice.

BOX LUNCH: Provided on Friday and Saturday for volunteer only. A box dinner will be provided Friday evening.

ELIGIBILITY: Must be at least 18 years of age, able to work in a fast-paced environment, follow directions, handle money, and be on your feet for an extended period of time, and handle light lifting of 25-30 lbs.

Arena Team B

Volunteer during the main conference

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF: You do NOT plan on being an attendee at the event, willing to follow directions, handle light lifting of between 25-30 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time and enjoy a variety of duties.

TIMES (MANDATORY): Friday 4:30 - 10:00 pm and Saturday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES: Expect a variety of duties such as directing conference attendees and ensuring crowd control on the concourse and in the arena, box lunch distribution, helping with registration, and general assistance while the conference is in session. Arena Team helps by making the overall event run smoothly and with limited distractions. Additional security help from the Arena Team volunteers will be chosen to help check credentials and work with our security team on various duties.

EVENT ATTENDANCE: Due to the demands of this position, Arena Team volunteers will only get to watch up to 25% of the conference. ELIGIBILITY: Must be at least 18 years of age, able to work in a fast-paced environment, follow directions, handle money, and be on your feet for an extended period of time, and handle light lifting of 25-30 lbs.

Box Mover Team

This POWER-HOUSE volunteer team helps with the more physically-demanding job of moving boxes filled with program bags throughout the arena. A great job for guys!

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF: You know how to handle a hand-guided pallet jack and can do moderately heavy lifting (25-30 lbs).

TIME (MANDATORY): Thursday 11:00 am - 2:00 pm (or until completed)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Will be locating pallets of boxes at each arena entrance off the concourse from the loading dock area. May also be distributing boxes from the pallets at different areas in the arena.

EVENT ATTENDANCE: Box Mover Volunteers will receive 2 free registrations for the Grand New Day conference.

BOX LUNCH: Not included

ELIGIBILITY: Must be able bodied and have the ability to handle a hand-guided pallet jack, handle light lifting of 25-30 lbs and at least 18 years of age.

Bag Distribution Team

Get your dose of daily exercise while working as a team to place bags on each seat in the arena!

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF: You can climb stairs and can lift up to 15 lbs.

TIME (MANDATORY): Thursday 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm (or until completed)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Place bags on each seat in the arena

EVENT ATTENDANCE: 1 free registration for the Grand New Day conference. The registration does not include the Friday Feature.

BOX LUNCH: Not included

ELIGIBILITY: Must be physically able to climb stairs and do minimal lifting and at least 18 years of age.

Production Runner

Volunteer during the entire conference
so that others can attend free.

THIS POSITION MAY BE FOR YOU IF: You do NOT plan on being an attendee at the event. Have a good driving record, vehicle, and cellular phone. You are able to follow directions and be a team player.

TIMES (MANDATORY): Thursday 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am-9:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am-4:30 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES: Run errands as requested by the Production Director. Provide general assistance as requested by the Production Director. Know the area surrounding the arena.

EVENT ATTENDANCE: Due to the demands of this position, Production Runner Volunteers will NOT be able to attend the conference. The selected Production Runner will receive 4 free registrations for the Grand New Day conference for guests of their choice.

BOX LUNCH: Meals will be provided Thursday, Friday & Saturday in our Staff Catering

ELIGIBILITY: Must be at least 18 years of age. Application available on the sign-up page (Step 3). You must have a vehicle, clear a background check, and have a good driving record and a cellular phone.
