Ayiesha totally understands the mindset of “A Grand New Day”—in relation to her songs, anyway. “When it comes to writing music,” she confides, “I’ve never been one to just be comfortable with the same ol’ same ol’.” It seems to be working for her! Ayiesha’s career started with a bang—and a GRAMMY® nomination, a Dove Award nod for New Artist of the Year, appearances in a number of high-profile tours, and universal acclaim. “I had high expectations, but God exceeded them,” she says.

Ayiesha’s eclectic style may be difficult to categorize, but she’s always authentic and open about her love for God. After growing up in New York, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Texas, and Bermuda, she recently settled down enough to buy a home in Texas.
