Whether on stage or screen, Sherri's magnetic personality and hilarious sense of humor never fail to delight audiences. Sherri relocated to Los Angeles during high school and considered becoming a mortician (can you imagine?), but took a job as a legal secretary instead. After her friends encouraged her to put together a stand-up comedy act, she spent five years toiling as a secretary by day and performing stand-up at night. She eventually found success before a series of bad choices sent her spiraling into debt and despair ― and that’s when she learned that true success can’t be measured by money, ratings or applause. Since then? “If you trust God,” Sherri tells us, “anything can be done.” She’s been featured in the motion pictures Who's Your Caddy, Beauty Shop, Cellular and Guess Who and a variety of TV shows―including a 4-year stint on Less Than Perfect. Sherri was recently named the 5th co-host of ABC’s popular talk show The View. Sherri is mother to two-year-old Jeffrey, Jr. and two retrievers, Angel and Shatzi.
