Not so long ago, Mark was a “professional waiter” in Nashville, TN.  Now ― less than six short years later ― he’s become one of Christian music’s best-loved and most respected artists.  With eight No. 1 radio singles (so far), a Dove Award, and a No. 1 spot on Billboard magazine’s Hot Christian Adult Contemporary Songwriters list, Mark’s career as a waiter is behind him.  “I feel I know what I’m supposed to do in life,” he says, “write songs, perform and communicate.” Mark’s latest recording, Broken and Beautiful, is his most personal collection to date.  It’s packed with stories set to music, like “Everything to Me”, about a mother giving up her child for adoption and “Walking Her Home”, an emotional tale of a couple’s relationship from their first date until the wife is called home to heaven.  Mark and his wife live in North Carolina.
